There's a saying that essentially says, "Stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result." I think it was Einstein, maybe.
Perhaps it's the optimist in me, but sometimes I really think that things change. Really. Or maybe I think that I've changed, "learned" from previous mistakes...and thus, doing the same things will result in a different outcome.
Current Scoreboard:
Einstein - 1570

Smart man, that Albert.
It's 1:30 am and I am wide awake post-caffeine ingestion a few hours ago. I just "finished" studying for the night. Physiology test at 10 am. Again, I put off studying until the last minute. Again, I have myself convinced that getting up before the sun rises and cramming for a few hours will be sufficient towards rescuing my struggling grade. Again, I will likely be rubbing my eyes over a steaming mug of green tea, attempting to distinguish between alveolar and arterial oxygen pressure, and figuring out why, exactly, an increase in phosphate decreases muscular work (is that even true?), while a bunch of symbols blur together. Again, I thought that caffeine would only have a short-term effect on me this time, and I'd be able to fall asleep the moment I laid my head down...even though that has never, ever happened in my 21 years of life.
Really, I shouldn't be allowed to be in grad school.
